Young people all across Muscatine County agree: there is nothing to do. The fundamental reason we began this project is to give all area young people something more to do, and thus keep them happier and out of trouble.
With a project as creative and imaginative as ours, we want to be as supportive of creative, imaginative projects as possible. Open source software is yet another one of the breakthrough evolutions of the modern age, blending ideas and imagination with dedication and teamwork - which is exactly what we're trying to do.
We started this project right at the beginning of 2008, to try to get the community rallied together behind young people in Muscatine. Our youth are often given so few opportunities, and wind up abusing drugs and alcohol.

The Layout

This is the layout for our community youth video game center. It will be sized anywhere between 20 foot and 40 foot square, with enough space to allow for a console gaming "theater", space for hanging out with friends and watching tv, and space for plenty of computers with the internet and video games on them. We will offer an area with tables set out for playing collectible card games and even eating snacks.
