Young people all across Muscatine County agree: there is nothing to do. The fundamental reason we began this project is to give all area young people something more to do, and thus keep them happier and out of trouble.

With a project as creative and imaginative as ours, we want to be as supportive of creative, imaginative projects as possible. Open source software is yet another one of the breakthrough evolutions of the modern age, blending ideas and imagination with dedication and teamwork - which is exactly what we're trying to do.

We started this project right at the beginning of 2008, to try to get the community rallied together behind young people in Muscatine. Our youth are often given so few opportunities, and wind up abusing drugs and alcohol.

Activities

We want to ensure that everybody has something to do at our game center, so we will include a myriad of activity options. We will focus on fun, interactive video games along with other options to keep young people entertained. We will utilize Nintendo Wii and Dance Dance Revolution technology to keep our visitors up and active.

We hope to have at least one of each next-generation gaming console, including a Nintendo Wii, an XBox 360, and a PlayStation 3. We will also features between five and seven computers for computer games and using the Internet. There will be couches for lounging and watching television, anime, movies, etc during downtime. There may be arcade games, additional computers, movie features, or more depending on our final budget.
